The main feature of stainless steel magnetic pump is to use the magnetic coupling to transmit power without leakage. When the motor drives the outer magnetic steel of the magnetic coupling to rotate, the magnetic force line passes through the gap and isolation sleeve and acts on the inner magnetic steel to make the pump rotor rotate synchronously with the motor without mechanical grounding to transmit torque. At the power input end of the pump shaft, because the liquid is enclosed in a static isolation sleeve, there is no dynamic seal, so there is no leakage at all.
In terms of structure, the stainless steel magnetic pump is basically the same as the fluoroplastic magnetic pump. However, the flow passage parts are made of austenitic stainless steel (304, 316L), duplex stainless steel, Hastelloy or titanium. Compared with Fluoroplastic magnetic pump, stainless steel magnetic pump has simple manufacturing process and is suitable for conveying acid-base and organic solvents with low concentration.

How should stainless steel be pickled and passivated?
Basic principle of pickling:
The corrosion resistance of stainless steel is mainly due to the addition of high components of chromium in the steel (such as 316lw (chromium) = 16.00 ~ 18.00). Chromium is easy to be oxidized by air, which can quickly produce a compact Cr2O3 oxide film on the surface of the steel, resulting in the abrupt improvement of the electrode potential of the steel and the corrosion resistance in air oxygenated substances, The corrosion resistance of stainless steel mainly depends on the extremely thin (about 1nm) tight passivation film covered by the surface layer. This passivation film is isolated from the corrosive medium and is the main shield for stainless steel protection. If the passivation film is incomplete or defective, the stainless steel will still be corroded. The surface oil pollution, scratches, rust, impurities, low melting point metal pollutants, coatings, welding slag, spatter, etc. of stainless steel containers in the inner lining plate. The equipment and accessories are directly affected by the surface quality of stainless steel, the damage of surface passive film, the reduction of surface corrosion resistance and easy to work with corrosive substances in subsequent chemical carriers. GB150-1998 steel pressure vessels stipulates that "the surface of stainless steel vessels with anti-corrosion requirements shall be pickled".
